Fulton County Home Repair Grants (2026)

A countywide option that also covers Atlanta

Fulton County's Department of Community Development merged two older repair programs into this single Home Rehabilitation Program (HRP), run day-to-day with Meals On Wheels Atlanta handling intake and inspections. Unlike some county programs that exclude the county's biggest city, this one explicitly serves the City of Atlanta as well as unincorporated Fulton County and the county's smaller cities — which matters right now, since Atlanta's own Heritage program is closed to new applicants and working through an existing waitlist.

Eligibility and how to apply

• Property type: owner-occupied, single-family detached dwellings only — no mobile homes.
• Residency: must be a Fulton County resident, which includes the City of Atlanta, unincorporated Fulton, and the county's other cities.
• Title and taxes: your name must be on the deed with clean title, and property taxes must be current.
• Prior assistance: you can't have received a Fulton County home-repair award within the past 5 years.
• Priority: given to households with vulnerable members — young children or elderly residents.
• Amount: grant up to $25,000, with deferred loans available for repairs that cost more (specific loan terms aren't detailed on the county's page).
